Customers often send their security questionnaire as an Excel file. Under Questionnaires you import that file, get suggested answers, check them and download the customer's own file with your answers filled in.
How to import a questionnaire
- In your organization, open Questionnaires in the menu and click Import questionnaire.
- Choose the customer's Excel file (.xlsx), up to 10 MB. Save older .xls files as .xlsx first.
- Enter the Title, Customer, Due date and Answer language, then click Import. The file stays private.
How to check the columns
CloudSignLab guesses the Sheet, the question column, the answer column, the Question number column and the First question row. Check them against the preview, correct them if needed and click Read questions and suggest answers. Answers are written only into the answer column.
Where the suggestions come from
- Your organization's approved answer from the answer library comes first.
- Otherwise you get the control library's starter answer, marked to adapt it to your organization.
- Questions are matched by keywords in any language and by ISO 27001 and NIS2 codes. VDA ISA 6 (TISAX) files are recognised and matched by their control numbers.
- An answer already in the customer's file is kept as a suggestion.
Nothing is accepted automatically.
How to review and download
- Use Show to filter: All, Open, To check, Accepted or Skipped.
- For each question, edit the answer and click Accept, Save draft or Skip.
- For an accepted answer, click Save to answer library to reuse it. It is saved there as a draft; approve it in Answers.
- Click Download answered file. You get a copy of the customer's own file with only the accepted answers filled in. Everything else stays as it was, and formulas are never changed.
Tips
- How many questionnaires you can import each month depends on your package.
- Members can help answer; importing and deleting is for owners and admins. Custom roles can change this.
- Questionnaires of schemes whose questions are not public, such as KSV1870 or Cyber Trust Austria, are imported like any other Excel file your customer sends.
On import, AI can match questions to your answers; such matches are marked Suggested by AI: check it. Draft open answers with AI writes drafts for the questions still open. Every draft waits for a person to check it.
