A customer uses CloudSignLab to check the security of its suppliers, as NIS2 asks. You got an email with a link to a short security questionnaire about your company. You do not need an account.
Before you start
- The link is personal. Share it only with colleagues who can answer for your company.
- The page shows the date to answer by (Please answer by) and until when the link works (Link works until).
How to answer
- Click Open the security check in the email.
- For each question, choose one answer:
- Add a Comment or evidence where it helps, for example the name of a policy, a certificate or a short explanation.
- Click Save and continue later at any time. Your draft is kept and you come back with the same link.
- When every question is answered, click Send answers.
You cannot send until every question has an answer. After sending, you cannot change your answers.
If the customer asks for clarification
The customer may ask you to clarify some answers. You then get an email with a new link. The questions concerned are marked and show the customer's note. Change the answer or add a comment, then send again.
If the link does not work
The link may have expired, or the customer may have sent you a new one. Use the latest email you received, or contact the customer.
Tips
- Answer honestly. Partly with a clear comment is more useful than a Yes you cannot back up.
- The customer may ask for proof of what you describe.
- If you want to prepare answers once for all your customers, CloudSignLab also offers a Supplier Ready package with an answer library and a trust page.
