When you start, CloudSignLab asks five short questions about your company. Your answers decide which controls of the control library apply to you, so nobody is asked about things you do not have.
How to set up your organization
- Open Overview in the menu and click Complete the setup under Getting started, or Set up in the Readiness panel.
- Your company: choose your Country, your Main sector and the number of People working for you.
- Your customers: tick Customers ask us about our security if you receive questionnaires, contract clauses or audits from customers.
- Your systems: tick We run our own servers or IT equipment and We develop software only if they are true for you. If everything runs in the cloud, leave the first one empty.
- Personal data: tick We handle personal data if you keep names, email addresses or other data of customers, staff or users.
- Click Save answers.
- On the last step, Sector starter kits offers typical risks and assets for your sector, marked For your sector. Click Add kit to add them to your registers to adapt; names already there are skipped.
- Click Add my controls from the library to add the controls of your package to Controls at once, or click Later and pick them yourself in Library.
What happens next
- Controls that do not fit your answers are marked Does not apply to you in the library and are not counted in your readiness score.
- Controls added from the library get their NIS2 and ISO 27001 references filled in, so they also count on the Frameworks page. They are written in the language you are using at that moment.
- The Readiness panel on Overview now shows how far you are and what to do next.
Tips
- Saving the answers needs an owner or admin. You can change them at any time: open the setup again from Overview, or from the country guide on Frameworks.
- The controls you can add depend on your package: the Free package includes the starter set of 25 controls, the Supplier Ready package the supplier set of 60, and Professional and higher the full library of 185 controls.
- If your package's number of controls is reached, CloudSignLab adds as many as fit and tells you how many were left out.
